After Davydova stood out against war, she began receiving a lot of anonymous threats via SMS and e-mail. The letter Z (the symbol of the «special operation» against Ukraine) was painted on the door of her apartment in white paint. Davydova was under surveillance: a video made on her departure appeared on the pro-government Telegram channels. At the border crossing, the Federal Security Service officers subjected Davydova to lengthy cross-examination.
