While covering clashes outside the election headquarters of mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze, OC Media co-founder and photographer Mariam Nikuradze was doused with water by a supporter of the ruling Georgian Dream party — despite police being present. The clashes began when Georgian Dream supporters attacked anti-government protesters in what appeared to be a coordinated move. Several other journalists were also assaulted during the incident, yet police made no arrests.
