On June 27, a court in Barnaul fined RusNews journalist Maria Ponomarenko, who is being held in pre-trial detention on the case of «military fakes» (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), RUB 15,000. Ponomarenko was found guilty of inciting hatred (Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation) for her comment, which included «a negative assessment of a group of people on the basis of their affiliation with the police».
