Journalists were not allowed to attend the session of the Bishkek City Court. Reporters arrived to cover the events surrounding the case of arrested opposition deputy Adakham Madumarov, who is suspected of treason. A rally of his supporters was taking place near the court building. Bailiffs stood at the entrance to the court and did not allow anyone to pass, referring to the order of the presiding judge, as the court was held in closed mode. When asked by journalists about the ban, the press service of the Court Department and the press service of the Supreme Court said that «they do not know why journalists were banned from entering the territory of the Bishkek City Court».
