The General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan reported on the measures imposed against several media outlets and social media users. The report of the General Prosecutor's Office states: "Due to the constant dissemination of biased information for the sake of sensation on social networks, not based on specific facts, on December 16 and 17, Abushov Zamig, Mahmudov Ilgar, Ibrahimov Mehdi, Safarsoy Rza were invited to the General Prosecutor's Office". In addition, journalist Sahavat Mammadov was fined AZN 500 «for publishing information about the activities of military structures of the country on his personal social media account, the publication of which is prohibited by law». The websites olke.az, manevr.az, and several other online media were also fined AZN 1,500 under Article 388-1.1.1 for «propaganda and justification of suicide as a solution of problems» and explanation of how to commit suicide.
