A film crew from KTK TV channel – correspondent Beken Alirakhimov and cameraman Manas Sharipov – were detained on the grounds of the regional hospital in Atyrau while filming a show on the transfer of 257 medical personnel who had been in contact with infected persons, to the tuberculosis clinic in the Makhambet District. The journalists were accused of violating the state of emergency regimen. On April 24, an administrative court issue issued them a penalty in the form of a warning.
