On June 22, 2023, the information content of the account of Malanka Media in TikTok was recognised as extremist materials. The decision was made on the claim of the prosecutor’s office of the Krupski District, reported the prosecutor’s office of the Minsk Region. It should be noted that this is a repeated inclusion in the «extremist» list: in March 2023, the TikTok account of Malanka Media was already there, according to the verdict of the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Homel. On February 15, 2023, the project Malanka Media was recognised as an «extremist formation». Such a decision was made by The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus. The list of «extremist formations» includes the project’s website, its Telegram and YouTube channels, and accounts in all social networks. According to the law, any interaction with resources recognised as extremist formations (for users, even a subscription or a repost) can be grounds for criminal prosecution and imprisonment for up to 7 years.
