Maksud Gayosov, the cultural activist and blogger from Badakhshan who has lived in Moscow for more than six months, was detained at his home on August 17. This was reported to Radio Ozodi by some of Maksud's friends and acquaintances. The Moscow police did not release any statement on the matter. It is unknown where police officers took Gayosov, but his relatives say he could face extradition to Tajikistan.
