The police forcefully pushed journalists of the news agency 4vlastinfo.kz Madina Zhatkanbayeva and Maksat Sultangaziyev out of the building of the prosecutor’s office of Almaty. Madina’s camera was almost broken and Maksat’s phone was taken away. The journalists came to the supervisory body at the request of relatives of businessman Abdygapparov, against whom a criminal case is being investigated, to cover their meeting with the prosecutor. The prosecutor’s office commented on the incident, saying that the journalists «violated the access regime (passed under the turnstile)».
