Makhambet Abzhan, the journalist and author of the Telegram channel Abzhannews, was visited at home by police, allegedly in connection with a noise complaint from neighbours. «They said that if I don't open the door, they will release the gas into the flat. The electricity was cut off in the building, and officers are standing under the window, knocking on the door», – Abzhan said. The journalist himself believes that the arrival of police officers is connected to the fact that he actively covers protests in Kazakhstan.
