In Makhachkala, police detained Magomed Magomedov, deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper Chernovik, who was holding an individual picket in support of his colleague Abdulmumin Gadzhiyev, arrested on charges of financing terrorism, and Murad Muradov, the journalist of Caucasian Knot, who was filming the action. The police demanded that Magomedov stop the action «for security reasons,» and when he refused, the law enforcers said that he «would have to leave anyway,» and one of them tore the banner from him. Later, the journalists were released from the police station.
