Kirovsky District Court of Makhachkala fined the founder of the online news outlet Chernovik RUB 100,000 for reposting a text that, according to investigative authorities, discredits the Russian Armed Forces (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). The charges were based on a re-post made in mid-March this year in the newspaper Chernovik's Telegram channel from the official Telegram channel of Igor Strelkov (Girkin), a Russian Federal Security Service colonel, former Defence Minister of the Donetsk People's Republic and leader of the Novorossiya public movement.
