At the rally for political reforms and the ban on the sale of land to foreigners, the security forces cordoned off politician Zhanbolat Mamay and about 20 of his supporters. Journalists, who had tried to take pictures and video of what was happening from the porch of the Palace of Sports, where a good view opens from an elevated position, were forced out by security guards and forbidden to climb the stairs.
