Bisen Khairullin, Deputy Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Regulation of Nature Management of the West Kazakhstan region, filed a lawsuit with the Uralsk Court № 2 to protect honour, dignity, and business reputation against the editorial office of the newspaper Uralskaya Nedelya and journalist Lyudmila Kalashnikova. The plaintiff claims that in the article «There will be no development of three new ASG quarries in the Ural floodplain» of August 16 this year «the journalist of the newspaper independently distorted my words, as I did not say them directly to the journalist of the newspaper during the telephone conversation, moreover, I was not informed about the fact that an audio recording of the conversation would be made». He asked for a refutation of the phrase «we will not let them develop quarries on the territory of the state forest fund», which, in his opinion, defames his honour, dignity and business reputation.
