On 20 October, Bishop Koryun Baghdasaryan, Property Inspector of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem — known in secular life as Hovnan Baghdasaryan — filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against journalist Lusine Petrosyan. The claimant asserts that the article published by Petrosyan on 23 September on the news website Hraparak.am contains insulting language and defamatory statements about him. He is therefore demanding a public apology, a retraction of the false information, and compensation of 3 million drams (over $7,500) for insult and 6 million drams (over $15,000) for defamation. The case is currently under consideration.
