On August 23, citizen Mariam Hovsepyan filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against the founder of the news website Lurer.com, demanding a public apology, a refutation of libel, and compensation. The reason for the lawsuit was the material published on the abovementioned site on July 7 «For offensive behavior in social networks the court fined Mariam Hovsepyan and obliged her to apologize in writing», where it was noted that the woman, who introduced herself as the associate of former Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vardan Toghanyan, was known for her offensive and provocative remarks against famous state and public figures, politicians, journalists, businessmen. The examination of the case was started. On the same day, Mariam Hovsepyan filed a lawsuit with the same demands against Slaq Media LLC, the founder of the Slaq.am news website.
