By administrative court order, journalist Lukpan Akhmedyarov was arrested for ten days on charges of participating in an unauthorized rally. According to the journalist's brother Zhanat Akhmedyarov, in court, Lukpan explained in detail that he did not attend the rally but rather to cover it, i.e. he was doing professional work. When calls to break and destroy the administrative building started among the demonstrators, he could not stand it. As a citizen, he urged the rally participants not to give in to provocations, which was recorded on his smartphone. The administrative court did not consider either these recordings or the testimony of witnesses.
