In Uralsk, four unidentified people held a rally in support of Russia’s actions against Ukraine near the Uralskaya Nedelya office. They held posters with inscriptions: «Uralskaya Nedelya is a provocateur», «Don’t rock our Shanyrak», «L. Akhmedyarov and Uralskaya Nedelya incite inter-ethnic discord». The people refused to introduce themselves. When asked by a correspondent of Uralskaya Nedelya why they had come to the editorial office, one of the protesters said that the reason was journalist Lukpan Akhmedyarov. The man called him a «pure devil» who «wants to destroy Kazakhs and Russians,» one of those «who do not see peace in Kazakhstan and are dissatisfied with the authorities». «We want to preserve peace in Kazakhstan. It is necessary to drive away the arsonists, I do not want my children to die because of such people (means Akhmedyarov — Uralskaya Nedelya)», — said the man.
