Additional information:

On the 18th of February, the Chief Editor of “Uralskaya Nedelya” (Uralsk Week) Lukpan Ahmedyarov approached activist Maksat Aysautov after an appeals court case, asking while recording on his phone whether he was satisfied that the decision was just. At this moment, one of the bailiffs grabbed the journalist by the arm and demanded to switch off the camera, under the pretence that nothing can be filmed in the court’s building. Ignoring the journalists’ demand to show accreditation and ground the prohibition of filming, the bailiff tried to physically remove the journalist from the building. Only after a long argument did the bailiff show the relevant accreditation. Gabbasov failed to name the law nor regulation that gave him the right to ban filming in a court building.
