Russian border guards detained blogger Ludvika Papadopoulou at the border crossing point near the town of Armiansk. The reason was that she was put on the wanted list by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Crimea. After detention, Papadopoulou was taken to Simferopol, where the investigator tried to interrogate her. He then charged her under Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (defamation) for the publication on a social network of a material containing allegations that the head of the Judicial Department in the Republic of Crimea is involved in the raider seizure of a sanatorium in Yalta. From the moment of detention and until the court decision on the preventive measure, the blogger spent more than a day in the temporary detention facility.
