On December 2, the Investigative Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of self-proclaimed Abkhazia instituted criminal proceedings against bloggers Lolita Khalvash, Lolita Brandzia, and «other unidentified persons» on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 321 of the Criminal Code of Abkhazia (insult of authorities) in connection with the fact that «from August 24 to October 10, 2021, they posted on Facebook texts, «defaming honour and dignity and undermining the professional reputation of the President, Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs, members of the National Assembly, Prosecutor General and other officials. The Sukhumi Prosecutor's Office is conducting investigative actions.
