The General Prosecutor’s Office announced the detention of 14 people as part of a preliminary investigation into a criminal case opened under Part 4 of Article 159 (conspiracy to seize power or overthrow the constitutional order) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan in connection with the mass riots in Karakalpakstan.
