The Moskovsky District Court of Minsk arrested the journalist for 15 days, accusing her of participation in an «unauthorised event» (Article 24.23 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). The law enforcers detained Kaspiarovich on May 14, when she was covering the high-profile trial on the «students’ case». She was kept in the temporary detention centre for three days until the trial. The conditions in the detention center and serving administrative detention in the TDF were torturous: 17 people in an 8-bed cell slept on the floor without mattresses, they did not receive packages from relatives, never been taken to the shower, personal hygiene products and even a toothbrush were taken away. Moreover, people in the so-called «political» cells were woken up at 2 AM and 4 AM: the employees called their surnames and they had to get up or answer.
