The Moskovsky District Court of Minsk arrested the journalist Liubou Kaspiarovich for 15 days, accusing her of participation in an «unauthorised event» (Article 24.23 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). The law enforcers detained Kaspiarovich on May 14, when she was covering the high-profile trial on the «students’ case». She was kept in the temporary detention centre for three days until the trial. The conditions in the detention center were torturous: 17 people in an eight-bed cell, sleep on the floor without mattresses, forbidden packages from relatives, no shower, personal hygiene products and even a toothbrush taken away. The prisoners were also woken up at 2 AM and 4 AM for roll call.
