The Primorsky District Court of Saint Petersburg fined Lydia Nevzorova, the wife of journalist Alexander Nevzorov, 30,000 rubles (325 EUR). She was found guilty of violating the law on “foreign agents” (Part 42 of Article 19.5 of the Code of Administrative Offences) for reposting her husband's publication on Telegram without indicating his status as a “foreign agent.” Alexander Nevzorov was added to the register of foreign agents in April 2022. In Russia, he was sentenced in absentia to eight years in prison, his family was declared an “extremist association,” and his property was confiscated.
