In connection with the criminal case against the journalists of Abzas Media, a number of journalists who had cooperated with the media outlet were summoned for the investigation and interrogated. On December 5, the journalist Shamistan Haziyev was interrogated, and on December 6, Leyla Agayeva was summoned for the investigation. According to investigative journalist Hafiz Babaly, the investigation has arrested bank accounts of a number of persons involved in the investigation and their family members.
