Lev Speransky, the journalist of Moskovsky Komsomolets, was searched in a criminal case of libel and extortion. The case was opened in 2018 and concerns the extortion of USD 50,000. Speransky’s flash drives, computers, and phone were seized. The journalist was questioned in the Moscow Main Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and released in the status of a witness. Speransky was asked if he had anything to do with the «VChK-OGPU» Telegram channel.
