On August 27, Ak Zhaiyk published a message «Zhilgorod bridge will be closed due to reconstruction of Kurmangazy square». The publication, prepared on the basis of a response to the editorial office’s enquiry to the city Akimat, caused outrage among Atyrau residents. Later, the Akimat issued a statement that the information about the bridge closure was «false» and that the disseminators of this information would be brought to justice.
