On 9 January, the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction partially upheld a lawsuit filed on 18 May 2023 by Veolia Djur CJSC against French citizen Leo Nikolyan, the founder of the news website Hayeli.am, as well as the founder of the news website Livenews.am. The court ordered Leo Nikolyan to retract information deemed defamatory and to pay the claimant compensation in the amount of 1 million drams (over $2,500). The founders of the aforementioned websites were also ordered to publish the text of the retraction and to remove the video materials that gave rise to the lawsuit.
