The Vasileostrovsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined the company MEDIA.S-Pb, a legal entity of Lenizdat.ru, RUB 200,000 under an article on the distribution of «fakes» (Part 9 of Article 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). The media was punished for a compilation of journalists’ reactions to the invasion of Ukraine and anti-war media appeals. The editor-in-chief Yekaterina Sergeycheva was fined RUB 60,000 and the legal entity MEDIA.S-Pb LLC was fined RUB 200,000. The material was removed from the website on February 26 at the demand of Roskomnadzor.
