The Tsentralny District Court of Homiel fined journalist Larysa Shchyrakova 30 basic amounts (BYN 870) for cooperation with a foreign media outlet without accreditation from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The court found the journalist guilty of violating Part 3 of Article 23.5 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus (illegal production and distribution of media products). The reason for the administrative prosecution was a video survey of citizens about the attitude towards political prisoners and life after last year's protests.
