It became known that a criminal case was brought against the journalist Larysa Shchyrakova under the article on discrediting the Republic of Belarus (Article 369-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus). Larysa was transferred from the temporary detention center to the primary detention center. The circumstances of the criminal case are unknown. The article provides up to four years of imprisonment. The journalist was detained on December 6. Shchyrakova's under-aged son was placed in an orphanage.
