Several Karakalpakstani journalists and bloggers were taken to the public prosecution’s office on the night between 25 and 26 July. It was caused by hacker’s message on the Repost.uz about the death of the leader of Karakalpakstan who’s been in power for 18 years. The interrogation lasted for more than 8 hours, journalists’ smartphones and laptops were confiscated. The prosecutor’s office confirmed this.
