On October 19, the Uzbek journalist-emigrant from Sweden and editor-in-chief of the independent media outlet Eltuz.com Kudrat Babajanov was not allowed to enter Turkey by border guards in Istanbul. The border guards hinted to Kudrat that the entry ban was related to his journalistic activities. The 58-year-old journalist intended to meet his relatives from Uzbekistan in Turkey.
