Former political prisoner and journalist Kseniya Lutskina was evacuated from Belarus with the help of the BYSOL Foundation. Lutskina had worked for the Belarusian State Television and Radio Company. In August 2020, during mass protests against the falsification of the presidential election results, she joined a strike by employees of the state media holding and became a core member of the first Coordination Council. In December 2020, she was detained. She was sentenced to eight years in prison — allegedly for conspiracy to seize power. In 2024, she was released through a presidential pardon.
