In case of the disappearance, a delayed post appeared on Kostyantyn Ryzhenko's Telegram channel. Ryzhenko's relatives confirmed information about his disappearance. They also reported that armed Russian forces searched his family's home in Kherson. The military seized all the equipment found and detained the journalist's brother and father. The journalist's father was later released on the condition that he would help track Ryzhenko down.
