Additional information:

Saratov resident Anton Skorokhodov filed a third libel lawsuit (Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) against Konstantin Khalin, deputy editor-in-chief of the news agency Vzglyad-Info. The reason was a publication by Khalin on the agency’s website, which, in Skorokhodov’s opinion, contained false information that defamed his honor and dignity. One of these allegations was that the applicant threatened Khalin with physical violence in order to obstruct his journalistic activities. Khalin accused Skorokhodov of having links with the prosecutor’s office which enable him to harm Khalin. Khalin also claims that allegedly at Skorokhodov’s request, a case is being fabricated against him and evidence is being falsified. The journalist claims that Skorokhodov bought the expertise conducted on Skorokhodov’s initiative from the wife of an investigator of the Volzhsky investigation department.
