Komyor Mirzoyev was detained by Russian law enforcement officers at the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan on September 5 in Moscow. The 34-year-old native of the city of Khorog was taken to the temporary detention facility in Maryino. On September 7, the Lefortovo inter-district prosecutor’s office in Moscow decided to release Mirzoyev, who was put on the international wanted list by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan. According to Mirzoyev’s relatives, the blogger was released from the temporary detention facility at about 9 PM, after reading the decision not to extradite him. His further whereabouts are unknown. According to experts, it is likely that he was met at the detention center by the Tajik law enforcers who brought Mirzoyev to his home country.
