Roskomnadzor opened an administrative case about fake news on coronavirus. Kommersant Ufa published a story saying that the Ufa administration had reserved 1,000 seats in the cemetery for those who died of COVID-19. Several media outlets in Ufa also wrote about this. The day after the publication of the article, the city’s mayor issued a retraction, after which news outlets, at the request of Roskomnadzor, removed articles. After a time it became known that the editor-in-chief of the portal «Proufu» Timur Almaty was fined 60 thousand rubles for the dissemination of fake news.
