In Moscow, the editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta Europe Kirill Martynov was reported for failure to fulfil the duties of a «foreign agent» (Part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). The case was registered in the Basmanny District Court on April 6. It is unknown when the hearing will take place. The Ministry of Justice included Martynov in the register of «foreign agents» in early September 2022. On May 10, 2023, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow found Martynov guilty of violating the procedure for the activities of a foreign agent and fined him RUB 30,000. According to the report, on February 12, 2022 at 4 PM, he «allowed» a publication in VKontakte without indicating the marking of a foreign agent.
