Two bloggers have successfully defended their honour. Andijan administrative court reviewed a complaint about the press secretary of Andijan administration submitted by blogger Khurshid Daliev. For nearly two months, local authorities attempted to silence the conflict. The press secretary Gulshan Kuchkarova used the official telegram to call blogger “vermin, schemer and traitor”. She also “revealed” Kuchkarov’s involvement with “Khizb ut-Takhrir” party. As a result, Gulshan Kuchkarova was charged with libel and insult of the blogger and was fined for 5 575 000 soms ($590).
