On January 22, news agency KazTAG published the article «Poultry farms in Kazakhstan began to sell eggs more often through intermediaries». The material with reference to the press service of the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition describes the results of the analysis of the state of competition in the market of wholesale chicken eggs. The next day, the editorial office received a call from a person who introduced himself as a representative of Alsad (the company that produces and sells chicken eggs). He said that the publication had damaged the company’s reputation and demanded that the name of the poultry farm be removed from the article. The editorial board refused to do so.
