On January 4, DDoS attacks resumed on the website of the news agency KazTAG. If in December 2023, the main flow of attacks came from abroad, in connection with which the website restricted access for all users, except for Kazakhstani, this time, the attacks came from IP-addresses from Kazakhstan. On January 5, the editor-in-chief of KazTAG reported about the removal of restrictions on visiting the website for foreign IP-addresses. He explained that cyberattacks on the media continue, but they have found more effective ways of defence.
