The head of the company developer of a «problematic» high-rise building in Shymkent demanded from the journalist of the crew of the Khabar 24 TV channel Katerina Popkova not to broadcast a story about the crumbling new building. Katerina Popkova suggested that the businessman comment on the situation on camera. The next day, the man refused to be interviewed when he came to the TV channel’s office and warned that he was an influential man who could solve many problems. The story about the high-rise building was broadcast on air.
