The editor-in-chief of Exclusive.kz Karlygash Ezhenova was threatened with «measures outside the legal field». The threats came after the media posted on its YouTube channel a trailer of the second part of the investigative documentary «Shocking Asia. Nuclear Billions» about corruption during the construction of the Radioisotope Diagnostic and Therapy Department of the Center for Nuclear Medicine and Oncology in Semey. «...they started writing to us again and started calling again asking us to remove the trailer and not to release the film. I said that we would release it, and if they had any complaints about this content, we were ready to discuss it and give them a platform. We were told that no one would discuss this with us and that no one would offer any counter-arguments, and that we would be subject to measures "outside the legal field". I wanted to clarify what we were talking about, and they hinted to me that it would be at least DDOS-attacks», – said Ezhenova.
