The Savelovsky District Court of Moscow has sentenced journalist and LGBT activist Karen Shainyan in absentia to five years in prison for making donations to the Anti-Corruption Foundation, under Part 1 of Article 282.3 of the Russian Criminal Code (financing "extremism"). Shainyan was found guilty of transferring 1,000 rubles (€10) twice in 2022. He currently resides outside of Russia.
