The Basmanny District Court of Moscow fined Karen Shainyan RUB 30,000 for the absence of a «foreign agent» label (Part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). It is not known for what publications the report was drawn up. The Ministry of Justice included Shainyan in the register of «foreign agents» in April 2022. In August of the same year, Shainyan was already fined for lack of label.
