It became known that the director of the newspaper Belorusy i Rynok Kanstantsin Zalatykh was charged under Part 2 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus — incitement of hatred, connected with violence or committed by an official. Zalatykh was taken into custody. He faces up to 10 years of imprisonment under the incriminated article. Zalatykh was detained on May 18, when the KGB officers came to his flat with a search, confiscated his laptop and means of communication. Seven days later, it became known that he was in the pre-trial detention centre in Zhodzina. The editorial office of the newspaper was also searched.
