The police officers detained journalist Sanrabiya Satybaldiyeva and cameraman Kalys Ashirbayev. They were sent to the pre-trial detention center. The journalist was arrested despite the threat of miscarriage. Human rights activists reported that Sanrabiya was «taken to the maternity hospital and checked» by the police. Cameraman Kalys Ashirbayev was taken for questioning along with her. Kaktus.media reported that the journalist and cameraman were detained «within the criminal case on preparation of mass disorder». Earlier, on October 23, mass arrests of activists, politicians, bloggers and journalists took place in Kyrgyzstan. 25 of them were put in pre-trial detention centers for 2 months. The authorities accused them of «preparing mass riots». Almost all detainees were members of the established committee to support the Kempir-Abad reservoir. The latter was transferred to Uzbekistan by a decision of the authorities as part of an agreement between Bishkek and Tashkent.
