Kairat Abdrakhman, an Instagram blogger from Taldykorgan, became a defendant in a criminal case. He is suspected of committing a criminal offence — «violation of privacy and law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on personal data and their protection». The problems, according to the blogger, began after an audio recording was published on his page in which a police officer is swearing at a subordinate. The voice sounds similar to that of a former police official in the region, the blogger said. This recording was on YouTube even before it was published on Kairat Abdrakhman’s page. On March 31, a court hearing of the case began.
